ABI Research, a technology market intelligence company, has recently published a report titled “Business Mobility Market Data”, which claims that the coming year will see the mobile broadband sector witnessing a growth of nearly 17 percent.

Moreover, the report also states that the Compound Annual Growth Rate of this sector is expected to be anywhere up to 12 percent by 2014. According to the study, the US will witness the largest growth of the sector in terms of revenue, while Eastern Europe will witness a growth of 27 percent and the Middle East a growth of 26 percent.

Attributing this growth to the increase usage and dependence on mobile broadband services, Dan Shey, practice director of ABI research, said that given the efficiency with which one can perform various tasks, it is obvious that such technology will be widely accepted, despite the recession and cost cutting efforts.

She went on to add that in times where companies are merging with one another to reduce overall costs, employee efficiency is most important and most sought after and the use of such mobile devices makes it possible to handle all business affairs remotely and thereby increasing the overall productivity of the company.

This is the most obvious reason why a number of businesses have decided to provide employees with mobile broadband devices like laptops, blackberry and smartphones to enable them to be totally committed to their work. This is despite the fact that such devices actually infringe upon the personal time of the employee.

There are a number of mobile broadband laptop deals and packages for business users available in the market. One can find a comparative analysis for such broadband connections on Mobile Broadband Genie
