Now this year, I actually suppose those who determine the fashion trends have in the end realised the facts of fashion sizes. Whereas just five or so years before you were forced to either thrust yourself into smaller sized boutique fashion clothing, today we have the alleviation of plus size. Fashion items such as babydoll lingerie (available in plus size) make it far easier for the common lady to get a size that fits her.

I reckon it’s because of the market deciding what it wants – the everyday size of both men and women in Britain has become larger through the years, and even though fashion companies have been rather idle to react, they eventually recognize that earnings are made from giving the market what it wants.

Moreover, there’s been a shift in fashion towards pragmatism. Gone are the styles of ludicrous high heels and heavy makeup; now it’s common to individualize your style without being pronounced a fashion pariah – which honestly makes the high street and clubs a lot more intriguing places. This new trend toward personal identity has been a tremendous filip for the more diminutive boutique fashion shops that can supply to micro-trends occurring.
